Devon & Josh’s wedding day was filled to the brim with beautiful details and meaningful traditions. They had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and an elegant indoor reception. Every part of the day was thoughtfully planned, but it was one quiet moment at the end of the night that became their favorite memory.
The couple’s outdoor ceremony was beautiful on its own, but an especially meaningful moment came after they exchanged vows. Josh is half Filipino, so the couple incorporated a traditional Filipino veil and cord ceremony into their wedding day. They chose two of their best friends, who were also members of the wedding party and getting married themselves, to serve as their sponsors. After the vows, the sponsors placed a white lace veil over Devon & Joshua, symbolizing being “clothed as one.” They then draped a ceremonial cord around the couple in a figure-eight pattern, representing an eternal and unbreakable bond.
It was such a beautiful way to honor Josh’s family and bring their heritage into their ceremony while creating a meaningful moment for the couple and their closest friends.

While there were so many incredible moments throughout their wedding day, Devon & Josh’s favorite was something much simpler. At the end of the reception, the couple had a private last dance inside The Tudor House.
