Cleveland + Northeast Ohio’s inaugural Book of Weddings has officially arrived and we celebrated in the most unforgettable way with a Sunset Soirée. Surrounded by Cleveland’s top wedding professionals at the stunning Basil Place (home to some perfect sunsets) the evening was a true reflection of the incredible talent and love stories that fill the pages of this first edition.
From the very beginning, guests were welcomed into a vibrant, thoughtfully curated experience. A refreshing watermelon margarita-perfectly pink and on theme-was served as the signature welcome drink, beautifully displayed on the charming CLE Champagne Wall. It set the tone for a night that was elevated, energetic, and full of heart!
The event was flawlessly planned and designed by the incredibly talented Nicole of Sirpilla Soirées, who transformed the space into a bright and joyful “Sunset Soirée.” Layers of yellow and pink linens from L’Nique Linens added warmth and color, while statement lounge pieces from Pomp Parties-including the Capri Sofa, Capri Chairs, and Lotus tables-created the perfect photo-worthy moments throughout the venue.
Everbloom Luxury Event Rentals elevated the space with stunning seating, shelving to showcase our iconic Vows That Wow featured photos, beautifully styled bookshelves displaying the anticipated magazine, and a natural wood bar that added the perfect warm, organic focal point to the design. Their scalloped umbrellas brought a playful yet polished touch to the outdoor setting, while their flatware and chargers completed the table design.
Sun Rental provided the essential foundation with banquet and round tables, staging, and glassware-bringing everything together seamlessly.
The Big Reveal
One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the unveiling of our very first cover. Hidden behind elegant draping by Draped by Joan, the reveal was nothing short of magical. As the draping was pulled away, guests got to finally see the stunning cover captured by Kristin Leanne Photography that perfectly represents the beauty and love stories of Northeast Ohio.
The night was filled with thoughtful, interactive moments that made the celebration truly unique. Guests had the opportunity to create custom embroidered bookmarks for their magazines, engraved live by Kim of Loose Leaf Creative, which is the perfect meaningful keepsake from an already memorable evening.
Another standout was the trending sticker vending machine by Hello Kiwi, where guests inserted coins and were surprised with a custom sticker including one featuring the magazine cover itself. It was playful, nostalgic, and a huge hit.
Beautiful, cohesive signage from bar menus to sponsor displays, invitations and name tags were all designed by Nico Creative, tying every detail together effortlessly with gorgeous color. She set the foundation for a beautiful evening!
S&S Productions & Entertainment kept the evening flowing as MC, bringing energy and excitement to every moment. Music set the tone throughout the night, beginning with the romantic sounds of Duo Post Prelude’s strolling guitar duo during cocktail hour, and ending with the unforgettable string covers by Seven Hills String Duo.
Guests also loved capturing memories at the Image Bar Cle photo booth, complete with branded, colorful photo strips they could instantly print or send to their phones.
The Thirsty Filly’s mobile bar was a showstopper, serving summery cocktails on tap from their beautifully styled truck outside and from Basil Place’s bar inside-perfectly complementing the summer soirée vibe. They truly were the most delicious and vibrant cocktails we have had!
Catering by A Taste of Excellence was nothing short of exceptional as always. We are still thinking about those chicken empanadas! The array of tapas and passed hors d’oeuvres, every bite was a highlight.
And of course, we had to have a sweet treat. Dessert did not disappoint. The Cake Boutique created a vibrant and delicious display of macarons, cupcakes, and branded sugar cookies-almost too pretty to eat (but far too good not to).
The floral design by Plantscaping and Blooms was truly breathtaking-they absolutely stole the show! Overflowing with color and texture, the arrangements transformed the space and made you feel like you stepped into the most amazing colorful garden that perfectly captured the essence of summer. It was bold, bright, and fun.
We were honored to have the evening beautifully documented by The Cannons Photography, whose work captures the true color, energy, and emotion of the event. Ashley McComb Videography brought the night to life through thoughtful, creative storytelling, allowing us to relive every special moment. Adding to the authenticity, Kelly from The Home Video Co captured candid, lifestyle-style footage that made you feel like you were right there in the celebration.
A Celebration of What’s to Come
We were beyond thrilled to finally unveil the highly anticipated cover and celebrate this milestone with such an incredible community of vendors. This night was more than just a launch-it was a celebration of the talent, creativity, and love stories that make Cleveland + Northeast Ohio’s wedding industry so special.
And if this night was any indication, this is only the beginning!
