Vows that Wow: Melissa & Kevin’s Day

Every so often, a wedding comes up that leaves us completely in awe. This month’s Vows That Wow is one we can’t stop talking about. From a show-stopping, trending cake moment to romantic florals, a packed dance floor, and the perfect blend of two cultures, this wedding was a true celebration of love, family, and unforgettable memories.

The bride, who is Lebanese-American, and the groom, who is American, wanted their wedding day to feel like a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple. Through thoughtful details, incredible food, and a celebration filled with dancing, they created the perfect mix of both cultures, bringing their families and traditions together in the most meaningful way.

Every floral detail was thoughtfully curated by So Bloom to bring the couple’s romantic vision to life. From the lush, climbing greenery cascading across the tables, the statement calla lilies, to the stunning buds adorning the staircase, each design element added an elegant, European-Romantic touch that transformed the space into a truly magical atmosphere. The reception at The Old Courthouse was a perfect blend of timeless elegance and elevated design. The historic venue provided a regal backdrop for the celebration, brought to life with luxurious linens from L’nique Linens.

The menu was a true highlight of the celebration, blending flavors and traditions while delivering the unforgettable experience guests have come to expect from A Taste of Excellence.

The ceremony was filled with emotion, meaning, and timeless beauty creating the most heartfelt beginning to their wedding day. The stunning church setting provided the perfect backdrop for some of the day’s most cherished moments, including the unforgettable image of Melissa walking down the aisle with her father and the newlyweds’ joyful walk back down the aisle together as husband and wife. These priceless photos beautifully captured the love, excitement, and deep connection they share.

The cake cutting quickly became one of our favorite moments from Melissa and Kevin’s wedding day. More than just a traditional photo opportunity, it became a memorable experience filled with personality. The couple added their own special touch by decorating the cake together with fresh raspberries and a dusting of powdered sugar before sharing their first bite as newlyweds (such a fun trend we want to see more of!) The sweet moment seamlessly transitioned into their first dance, creating a beautiful flow that kept everyone’s attention and made the evening feel unforgettable.

When reflecting on the vendors who helped bring their dream wedding to life, the bride shared:

“From our caterers, to our awesome photo and video teams, our DJ that (literally) lit the dance floor up, and so on, we can’t say enough great things about all our vendors that did a tremendous job giving us the best day and memories ever. But I would say my favorite and most helpful vendor was my childhood bestie, Marie-Louise, alongside her family team at So Bloom, who not only helped me curate my vision and bring it to life, but specifically Marie-Louise who served as our Planner and gave us the most seamless, streamlined weekend.”

And when asked about her favorite moments of the day, the bride couldn’t choose just one:

“There’s too many favorite moments to pick from-our first look, our private moment after the ceremony, our room reveal, the lead up to greeting our guests for cocktail hour, our entrance that opened into immediate dance-floor time, our cake cutting that transitioned into our first dance. It was all so special.”
