Katherine and Damon’s wedding day was a boho dream. From start to finish, every detail reflected who they are, creating a celebration that was beautiful and deeply personal.
Their story is rooted in a place that means everything to them. Damon first brought Katherine to Geneva on a surprise trip early in their relationship as a chance for her to meet his family and experience the place where he grew up. It was there he told her he loved her, and later, where he proposed. With even more meaning woven in, Damon’s parents were married there over 40 years ago, and Katherine and Damon chose to say “I do” just days after their anniversary. The venue itself owned by a family friend only added to the sentiment, making their wedding location feel like a full-circle moment in every sense.
That sense of meaning carried throughout the entire day. Every moment, thoughtfully captured, feels like a warm hug-intimate, joyful, and full of emotion.
We love how Katherine & Damon made this wedding their own from embracing the farm setting (which included a visit from alpacas, a crowd favorite!) to the vintage seating to make up the cigar lounge.The craft cocktails by The Thirsty Filly were a perfect addition. Their cake by Omalicha Custom Cakes and Confectionery was nothing short of exceptional, adorned with delicate lace detailing and touches of gold foil that added just the right amount of elegance and artistry. All of these details brought together the perfect elevated rustic design.
As the night settled in, Katherine and Damon slipped into their reception looks, kicked off their shoes, and found themselves surrounded by the people they love most. Katherine reflects on her favorite moment from the day, “My husband & I had taken our shoes off & changed into our reception outfits. We were at the outside cigar lounge (set up by Thirsty Filly) and DJ Chris had uplit the entire outside area in green for my Irish family & our projection monogram was on the side of the barn. My new husband & I, with our family around us and our old fashions in hand danced to Unchained Melody. It was perfect 🥰.”
And it truly was perfect in the way only a wedding that is completely, unapologetically you can be!
